GTM Meeting Brief
A Salesforce meeting brief for Opportunity records, built as a hackathon prototype.
Problem
Preparing for a customer meeting means gathering CRM context by hand. A brief generated from the Opportunity can give a starting point.
My contribution
- Built the prototype with native LWC, Apex and NVIDIA NIM.
- Used CRM context to generate meeting objectives, questions and risks.
- Implemented asynchronous generation with status polling, and kept model settings in Custom Metadata.
- This is a hackathon prototype, not a production feature.
Design
Illustrative reconstruction of the general pattern using synthetic data. It is not a description of any production design or employer code.
- User requests a brief
- Apex gathers Opportunity context
- Async job calls the model endpoint
- LWC polls generation status
- Brief displayed when ready
- Asynchronous generation keeps the interactive request short while the model call runs in a separate transaction. Apex callout timeouts still apply to that call.
- Model settings are kept in Custom Metadata so they can change without code.
Tradeoffs
| Choice | Benefit | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Async generation with polling | Keeps the interactive request short; generation runs in a separate transaction | Apex callout limits still apply (120 seconds cumulative), and polling adds complexity |
| Model settings in metadata | Swap models without deployment | Settings need access control |
| Generated text as a draft | Honest about model limits | Users must review before relying on it |
Demonstrated behavior
Planned demo (not yet built)
- A synthetic opportunity producing a brief via a mock model provider
Technologies
